Arrange your New York ground transportation before you arrive

Do not wait until you arrive, to order New York ground transportation service. We get many calls from panicked travelers waiting at the airport or at their hotel trying to get a ride.

The New York ground transportation scene is unlike any other. More than 100 million passengers fly in and out of New York City’s three airports every year. Each airport is removed from the heart of the City by 25 to 45 minutes under normal conditions. Travel times regularly double and more, during morning and evening rush hours, bad weather conditions, accidents, construction and sporting events at Yankee, Shea, or Arthur Ashe Stadiums.

Hotel shuttles - only hotels in the immediate area of the airports offer New York airport shuttle service. The other hotels know it is difficult to manage a scheduled service when dealing with unpredictable traffic and travel times. Hotels also know the consequences of making people late for their flights. Further, large shuttle buses are not permitted on all of the streets, highways and bridges as automobiles, making New York Airport shuttle commutes even longer and more difficult to predict.

New York airport taxi cabs – most drivers begin or end their 12-hour shift at 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening.  The number of available New York airport taxi cabs is reduced about two hours on either side of 5am and 5pm, before and after the shift changes. This is because drivers must return their cars by the end of their shift or pay extra.  It then takes time for the new shift of drivers to get to locations throughout the City.  Many taxi drivers do not like going to the airports, because they spend time sitting in traffic when they can be make more money picking multiple fares in the center of the City. Often taxis avoid hotels and people they see with luggage, simply because they do not want to go to the airport. Taxis are in big demand in bad weather (limousines also).  It is very difficult to get a taxi in bad weather.  Finally, taxis are limited in the number of passengers they can transport. They are insured for a maximum of four passengers, and typically cannot carry more than 3 pieces of checked luggage.

Gypsy Cabs – These are private cars whose drivers roam the airports, baggage claim areas and sometimes hotels looking for passengers. The cars and drivers are not appropriately licensed or insured (though sometimes they look the same).  In many cases, gypsy cab drivers are not able to pass the criminal background check, drug test or strict safe driving requirements of authorized drivers. Their vehicles do not undergo the routine safety inspections required of authorized vehicles. Gypsy cabs are illegal and using their service can be dangerous.

New York airport limousine services – we believe a private pre-arranged car services is the best option in New York airport ground transportation.  By pre-arranging your ground transportation, you are managing the situation, rather than the situation managing you.  This is not what you want at the end of a long trip in a strange place and strange city.  Even your return trip to the airport should be pre-arranged before you arrive.  Often, people wait until they get here to arrange their return trip to the airport.  In many cases, they make the arrangements through their hotel or concierge, which cost an average of 30% more, as each make a profit or receives a commission on the fare.  Why use our service?  Because we specialize in New York airport limousine and transfer services.  We can arrange for the right size vehicle to match your need. We have no local customers to whom we give priority over you, if it is busy or the weather is bad – you will always be our priority, because out of town guests are our only customers.

Rates - Our rates are all inclusive. You pay nothing more. No tip. No tolls. No fuel surcharges. No rush hour charges. No waiting time charges. No surprises!
